Christian IV, the king who built all the coolest stuff in Denmark

a decree from the king stating that danish citizens, while at war with the british, were free to take anything they wanted from British people at any time. That's what the swoosh-circle-thing is. Just take everything.

self

aaaaand of course it burned down like alot of other important buildings in Denmark so here's the obligatory "artist's rendition"

our eccentric tour guide standing in the first protestant chapel in denmark

which was later turned into a bakery

the King's personal Bible from 1547

castle innards

they had random statues to spice it up

the way out

the crew headed down to lunch

pass

Tori

sarah, tori, alyssa and myself at the Umbrella Cafe, which was ridiculously great and cheap

mmm

the interns presiding over our trip flirting shamelessly (they broke up by the end of the trip we think)

the streets of Odense

the home of TV2 Denmark

used to be a slaughterhouse, now its a huge tv channel (by danish standards)

this is the set for their Sportscenter-ish show

the staff had ping-pong games going and rode around on these little scooters which were electric

new offices, new desks

the host of the 4'oclock national news in Denmark, he was real cool and put us on the show for a quick sec at the end

our original roomates were bro-centric so we (Myself and Jessie) roomed with these ladies for the last night.
More soon from day THREE
