Miles Runs The Voodoo Down

Alright, the time for new york pictures has come.

In case you are wondering why my dad is the first picture on here, its because I missed the first bus I was supposed to take and had to call and wake up toby (thanks tobes) to get me on a different bus, which would then not accept me, so I went to dad's office and bought a ticket on the chinatown bus. Four and a half hours of a chinese man screaming on his bluetooth later...
I found myself in New York City.
I have no idea where I was at this point but I eventually made it to...
Union Square.

Adriel's inspiration wall WOULD be scarface and john mclaughlin.
he rocked out on a mandolin while I unpacked

^soooo Adriel.we jumped on the subway to his job at the most delicious japanese place evaah.

I sat down and wrote of my travels for like an hour and a half.
this soup saved my life. it also seemed really out of character for me to order a seaweed and watercress vegetarian soup, but it basically changed my perspective on food. amazing.
hehe Engrish.
so Adriel just plays jazz and I just eat soup for awhile...

then we caught up over some more japanese food and headed out
his friends were handing out letters for some reason...I thought it was cool.
part of the view from the absolutely ridicilous apt we partied at.

the most beautiful tv I have ever experienced...and of course, fittingly, Planet Earth.

flying the jolly roger
no words necessary.
Adriel again, mad at me for being anti social and hiding behind my camera.
some random drunk kid, I think he was from North Carolina.
this kid, Steven, was belligerent when we arrived...you'll see him again.
more view (the city before...)
(the city after...)

"Downward View from Eighth Story on Woman Walking Dog"

Skinnay and Harrison
the ill jam setup (they were all siiiiiiiiiick jazz players/students)

Adriel: "I gotz staples in my brain!!!"
Adriel's apartment-mate Yong had never seen Planet Earth before.
hahah yeah thats Steven at the end of the night...
Adriel and Yong and Picture of the day.
maaan the city is expensive. but the cinnamon french toast was worth it.
TWO MORE NEW YORK POSTS OF EVEN LARGER STATURE TO ARRIVE DAILY.
