In The Same Building, On The Same Floor, And Never Met Before

NEW YORK PART DEUX
flowers in the city.
I got out of bed at 8 and headed to the Guggenheim...I think this is a Starbucks ad.
For some reason, I had a toy of this when I was little and had never seen a real one. Until now.
midtown church
feather on sidewalk, upper west side.
I got a New York breakfast, it was deeeeelicious.
The Central Park Reservoir
They dont allow photography in most of the Guggenheim so these are spy shots.
This is some of the original collection, including some amazing Picassos.
The main exhibition was Richard Prince, which you should all see if you can. The things I posted here are his more non-linear stuff, but you should really check him out. Vice Magazine did a pretty interesting article on him, google it or something. seriously, really good.

These are his most recent "De Kooning" paintings
I was feeling introspective...hence, self-portait in the bathroom of the Guggenheim. (Thats a pen in my ear, I took alot of notes.)
this is two-thirds of a photographic series "three women looking", I think thats the name.
They have a pinecone garden there...artsy.
people sell all kinds of stuff on museum mile, between the Guggenheim and the Met

look closely.
I continued on down Fifth, decided to pass the met for the day, and started walking Central Park
Bethesda Fountain
Beethoven
Sheep Meadow...no sheep...
haha I love this picture...I don't know these people but they look so happy, I couldn't resist.
I just kept walking south...I got to radio city...
then 30 rock, and the christmas tree, and the ice rink.
I just thought this was hilarious...who would put this up on their wall?
I like this one too...strangely balanced.
I headed back uptown after remembering I had to check out the Kerouac exhibit at the library.
Kerouac's notes on finding and consuming mushrooms....they had the craziest stuff of his there.
sunglasses, harmonica, rolling papers, pocket watch...it was sooooo awesome.
They had the original Mexico City Blues. the original typed pages. I was geeking out. they almost had to kick me out for taking spy pictures again. So worth it.
Jack on Fifth Avenue, taken by Allen Ginsberg
Leroi Jones before he was Amiri Baraka...macking on some girl.
a picture of Charlie Parker taken by Jack Kerouac...amazing.
and, of course, the original scroll of On The Road.
This guy had a spiritual connection with this squirrel...they actually had a conversation, it was great. The squirrel did tricks for him and everything. it was nuts. (haha! get it! nuts! ha...)
The FlatIron building/The Daily Bugle
I wandered into a flea market on east 25th...what an interesting pair.
that gold knife was selling for like ten bucks...I bought some vintage american flags for a dollar.
old-school flamethrower...greatest city in the world.
After over 100 blocks and about three hours of walking...I needed my seaweed soup.
we took the train b ack to Union Station to meet up with...

The Sisters Travis.

oh Zoe.
"Adriel in Purple"
"Aliza in Purple"
"Zoe In Purple"
this place had amazing pad thai for under ten $ and a cool chandelier...what else could you want?
"Aliza (Two Ways)"they had good lil dumplings too.

Aliza in her awesome jacket...
we headed back to the apt
"Modern Arta few hours later, grilled cheeses were necessary...Adriel is the grilled cheese masta.
