Pulling Up At 6:30 In a 745, or, Blue Cheese Burgers

More actions and distractions from Copenhagen
Above is actually Copenhagen central station, not my favorite station but still a sight to see.
Also, in the cener of the pic you get an good example of a family fashion that I've seen here, which is the kisds-in-full-snow-suits and parents-too deal. I guess it's a look. There is no snow here.

the back-side wall of Tivoli, the theme park and christmas village and wonderland.
Tivoli tower. Not on the outskirts like Six Flags, but actually across the street from town hall, in the center of the city.

more snowsuit eveidence. Also this kid had a motrized bike. It was cool.

So Laura and I took the occasion on sunday (mostly because the it's free on sundays) to visit the Copenhagen Glyptotek, or "center for culture". It's a great museum, with ancient stuff.

alot of greek heads....

this was actually the room where DIS had our "opening ceremonies"....chez academique

the roof, the roof

I thought the main lobby looked alot like a smaller version of the national botanical gardens in D.C, but with a really nice sculpture in the middle instead of another plant.

Euripides The Boss

Luara and the opening hall of the greek/roman section. Mostly Roman.

the first of many Hercules (s).

and the Egyptian section

Laura and the pharoah

dude is jacking my hairstyle...
also everyone of the OG'S had beards. I rest my case

this thing was tiny but elaborate

"yeeeeeeessss?"

picture of the day for beard alone

3 brothers

Laura wanted to illustrate the sheer size of the heads

I think this guy looks just like Will

the blackness

Conveniently, all the museums here (or at least the ones I've been to) have the inscriptions and little tidbits in Danish and English

a very creepy painted reproduction

THINK ABOUT HOW COOL YOU WOULD FEEL IF YOU WERE THE PERSON THAT DISCOVERED THIS

a museum that grows lemons becomes a cultural center

and now a visit to my most essential, most necessary favorite places in Copenhagen so far...
all very close to my heart

best scene ever. old people. live music every night. half price is nice.

gigantic danish flag a few blocks away from school

I dont know why I had never seen this before this photo trip but it is awesome

Fantask, which purports to be the "oldest comic book store in the world" and is sweet. Actually consisting of an underground network of rooms with ridiculous selection. Really real.

can you see the danish?

and finally my fortress of solitude...the park.

Ezra, leave the girls alone, lil' international gangster apparently

yup
