Just Five Minutes

Alright, loyal readers...
I'm adding something new to the blog from this point on.
Every sunday, me than likely around this time, I'll have a new kind of post.
No big thing, just five minutes of entertaining video.
I'll post five Youtube videos I've perused, enocuntered, and enjoyed over the past week.
Various lengths, topics, styles, blah blah blah just five cool videos.
Give each one 1 (one) minute. if you like none, then whatever, it was just five minutes.
If you like one, watch the next part of it,
or a connecting video,
or the next one.
I just figured I owed at least five minutes of legitimate entertainment if you guys are nice enough to look at my art.
Go on a veritable culture shopping spree.

It's just five minutes.

The Making of Miles Davis' Kind Of Blue: Pt. 1
a real cool video. Q-Tip of A Tribe Called Quest talks about the album.

David Bowie and The Arcade Fire: Wake Up (Live)
just a great song. And the current 402 Mather anthem.

Amazing footage of legendary and extremely under-rated tap dancers The Condos Brothers.
Steve Condos was the man who first made me want to tap.
Shouts to TWA past and present, and future.

an absolutely ridiculous early and under-seen Bruce Lee fight.
Not that I'm a conossuier, I just wandered upon it.
(p.s it's in French and you know that makes it extra awesome, don't lie.)

and, to exit, something easygoing.
some straight, up, stone-cold hip hop.
Mos Def, caught off the sidewalk of Central Park, hops in.

EDIT: forgot to mention, this is also celebrating 100 posts, offish.

I love Miles. A constant source of inspiration.
Don't overlook DC's own the late Shirley Horn;one of the all time greats. Check out her Album "I Won't Forget You" where Miles breaks his 25 years of Ballad silence and plays behind her on the title tune. Miles on why he refused to play Ballads for so long "..cause I love it too much."
Do you still tap? got your shoes?
