The Carpenter Never Blames His Tools

this is the picture I carry around, folded in my wallet.
Its Norman Mailer, Gore Vidal, and Kurt Vonnegut, photographed all together, the only time.
it reminds me to always be a better writer.
R.I.P, boys.

this is the leaf I found and a shout-out in German.

the west virginia taco bell snowman is right at home.
this is Jim, the newest member of P&P

I read poems from my Bukowski reader and cut pictures for a new collage.
there's some of them, i've found the wax paper bag to be the best way to collect them all.
Paul Newman.....jk hip hop.

Sean Taylor Is A Beast

Hey, im sure you guys are sick of videos instead of pictures on here, but im taking my camera out tonight so i'll do a regular update tomorrow.
I just thought in light of the news regarding Sean Taylor (he's a football player, ladies)
I should put this video up.

here's my favorite part of the news coverage surrounding the shooting today:

"Taylor's girlfriend said the couple was awakened by loud noises, and Taylor grabbed a machete he keeps in the bedroom for protection. Someone then broke through the bedroom door and fired two shots, one missing and one hitting Taylor."

The man doesn't have a dog to protect him,
he doesn't reach for the gun, or the Lousville Slugger.
he goes for the machete.
what a badass.

Osoito

every good road trip starts off with a little taco bell.

tristan and jun gave me a ride back to gambier, so i documented it.
we stopped at every scenic viewpoint along the way.

this is the first one, right before you enter Frederick, MD

we stopped at an odd truck stop...

then we headed through the cumberland gap.
I heard from someone that the lines in the rock are where the dynamite was...
seems unlikely.
then we stopped at an actual beautiful scenic overlook...somewhere...

i know this is terribly lit, tristan took it and i thought it was ryan mcginley-esque.

the steeples of cumberland
the lame paintjobs of cumberland (blue glitter flake? really?)
this little guy joined the expedition after we stopped at taco bell in west virginia
and then it got dark.
welcome back to kenyon, everyone.

The Six Inches In Front Of Your Face

There's Bear smashing the life out of a guy nicknamed "Q-Tip"
And there's Bear bringing the Holy Hell.

All in all, state championships was amazing...
we lost...
i broke my nose (bloodily, there will be pictures later)
and now I'm updating from the airport,
smelling of rugby,
still with the mud of the field on me.

Tim's weapon was his "shredding axe". He melted the north's faces. he also pelted me with a tennis ball to the thigh.
i want one of these when i become a dead rich guy...
the battle is about to begin.
this was the height of the chaos of battle.
It was Antietam. Everyone died.
